Hair Services

Your hair may be more than just hair, but a part of your own look and unique style. That’s why you should take care of your hair. Well, there is a much easier way – just to remove all the hair! If there is nothing to take care of, there is nothing to worry about, isn’t it? It’s not an approriate option for everyone though. Let’s better talk about what you can do to make your hair better and how Brooklyn Laser Spa can help you.

Professional hair services

The most obvious way to look after your hair is to visit a professional hair salon. It is also possible to look after your hair at home, but not as much as you might think. Still, there are some services for which you would need experience, equipment, and materials. Let’s discuss all this step by step.

Hair cut

It sounds too obvious. But high-quality hair based on what you personally want and need is a must. Not just for women, but also for men. And not saying that it’s quite impossible to make a good haircut at home with your own hands. Trust this matter to professionals who can make your hair look whatever you desire. Don’t forget that haircut is an essential part of your look and style.

Blow dry bar

It’s hard to believe, but so many people make so many mistakes while washing and drying their hair! If you do all that correctly you’re going to be shocked by how beautiful your hair may be. No coloring, no flat irons – just washing and drying with a blower. Your hair will get a lot of shapes and most surely will be better than it is now.

Hair restoration

You may not really notice this, but your hair may be in a terrible condition right now. This happens due to a lot of reasons – individual characteristics of your hair, lack of vitamins, low-quality shampoo, extensive hair procedures, and so on. Most commonly hair needs restoration in summer and winter.

Hair restoration is a wide complex of different procedures that will help your hair get its shape back. What exact procedures you’ll need and how many times you’ll have to repeat it will be determined by a qualified specialist. It’s better to spend a bit more time now rather than become bald in the nearest future.

Balayage and Highlights – key differences

Balayage and highlights are both hair-lightening techniques. “Balayage” stands for “to sweep” from French. When using balayage, highlights are hand-painted (or “swept”) on your hair. Because the colors are swept onto the surface of your hair the effect looks much more natural and not as strictly patterned as usual highlights.

Balayage is not a look itself. It’s more of a technique of adding highlights. Its effect is often compared to the ombre style. There are a few different balayage styles such as partial or mini (for example, balayage around your face) or full (including all the surface of your hair).

Traditional highlighting is a more convenient process of lightening and adding depth to your hair. During highlighting aluminum foil is used to help saturate strands of hair from each other and from the root tip to make the lightning effect more intense. Partial highlights are also available, just like partial balayage.

Which technique to choose? Well, it depends on the individual characteristics of your hair, your own preferences, and so on. You can just find some examples of these works and see the differences yourself.

Hair coloring

Balayage and highlights which we discussed above are special techniques of partial coloring. They help by adding some special effects to your hair. But coloring can also be full. And like many other procedures including chemicals, hair coloring may go wrong. Did you know that poor-quality hair coloring may damage your hair so greatly that it will take months to recover?

So unless you don’t know what you’re doing, you better get some professional help. Besides, the effect will be even better than you could possibly think. Maybe you also want to experiment with colors?

Salon hair care

Even if it may not look so, your hair is as vulnerable as any other part of your body. If not made carefully, different hair procedures can damage your hair so greatly that one day you may just lose it all. That’s why you need to be careful. And besides, it is better to spend a bit of time and money now rather than spending WAY more in the future.

Look after your hair at home

There is a way to make your hair look better, be healthier, and reduce the number of visits to hair salons and so on. You just need to be careful and help your hair at home. There are many different ways to do that. Let’s discuss some of the easiest and most effective.

Determine your hair type

First of all, you need to find out your hair type. There are four types based on the damage hair take:

  1. Normal hair.

  2. Sensitive.

  3. Very sensitive.

  4. Ultra-sensitive.

And four based on hair characteristics:

  1. Dry.

  2. Normal.

  3. Greasy.

  4. Mixed.

Based on this you’ll have to look after them differently. There are also some other classifications but these two are the main ones.

Normal hair

How to determine if the hair is normal? “Normal hair” is – well moisturized, and has no special characteristics that need special treatments. Such hair can be treated using many different cosmetics.

Dry hair

Your hair may become too dry because of many reasons – from different diseases to medication consequences. Dry hair may not be visually damaged. In order to help dry hair you may want to use some moisturizing and nourishing cosmetics (conditioners, masks, and oils).

Greasy hair

Hair becomes greasy because of too active sebaceous glands. Such hair needs to be washed almost every two days. Such hair starts to look “dirty” extremely quickly. How to solve this problem? You’ll need to choose a shampoo and air conditioner correctly. Do not apply conditioners and other cosmetics to the hair roots – it will cause more problems.

Mixed hair

When choosing a shampoo for this type of hair, choose it according to your head’s skin, when you choose hair masks and conditioners, pay attention to the hair itself. Because your hair may have one characteristic near the root and others at the hair tips.

Sensitive, very sensitive, and ultra-sensitive hair

Usually, hair becomes like this because of chemical burns. Chemical burns can appear after chemical hair bleaching, hair perm, and so on. Usually, these problems can be solved by applying some conditioners and using special shampoos for damaged and sensitive hair. If the problem persists most probably you’ll have to take some medications.

Look after your hair correctly

First of all, let’s look at the shampoo you use. After you wash your hair, you must feel refreshed. If you feel like your head’s skin itches, or you see some redness or dandruff – you MUST change your shampoo and probably all other hair cosmetics. If your hair is already damaged, be extremely careful while washing it.

The best way to solve the problem – is to consult with a specialist. If you have any hair problems you’ll have to use many different kinds of hair cosmetics. Like hair conditioners, shampoos, pilings, and scrubs. When choosing hair cosmetics pay extra attention to their composition and you should also think about what your doctor told you about your hair condition. It is much easier to prevent the problem from appearing rather than fighting the consequences.
