Tattoo Removal

We are all human beings and we all make mistakes sometimes. You got a tattoo and don’t like it anymore? Or maybe it was just a mistake you regret the next morning? Nevertheless, there is one thing that can help you a lot – and it's laser tattoo removal!

Fast tattoo removal

Removing a tattoo with a laser is probably the fastest way to get rid of it. In its shell, fast laser tattoo removal is destroying the pigment of the tattoo under the skin. During the procedure, the laser destroys it no matter how deep inside it is and without causing any harm to healthy cells and the skin itself.

Unfortunately, it’s rarely possible to delete the tattoo in just one run. It happens because modern tattoo pigment differs a lot from the old one. Different tattoo artists use different colors and stabilizers, that’s why some tattoos may lie deeper in the skin. How many procedures will you need? You can ask it during a conversation with the doctor before starting procedures. Despite the fact laser tattoo removal is absolutely safe, such procedures are strictly limited in time –a laser is a laser after all.

What happens after the tattoo removal? Tattoo removal is not just destroying the tattoo pigment with a laser. Your own body acts next – the tiniest pigment particles go out of your body the natural way. The first changes will be noticeable after about 3 weeks.

Laser removal rules and restrictions

But like any other medical procedure, this one has some rules and restrictions. They include:

  1. First of all, restrictions are all the same as for making a tattoo.

  2. Tattoo “freshness”. You have to consult with the doctor whether your tattoo may be removed by a laser at all.

  3. Skin diseases. Such diseases won’t allow you to do this procedure, especially if they are in an “active form” right now.

  4. Skin infections, skin lesions, herpes, and some other situations.

  5. Most likely you will be forbidden to carry out the procedure if you have diabetes.

  6. Using some specific medications.

  7. Using some specific kind of cosmetics will also be an obstruction.

After the procedure, you’re highly recommended to avoid sun exposure, saunas, solarium, and a few other activities. Your doctor will fully instruct you before and after the procedure.

Laser tattoo removal cost

The cost depends on some factors, which may include:

  1. Tattoo size.

  2. Colors used.

  3. How deep the pigments lie (decided by the doctor).

Consult about it in advance. What tattoos can be removed by a laser? In general – any, no matter where they are located - for example, face tattoo removal, arms tattoo removal, and so on. Is it possible to use laser tattoo removal on dark skin? Your skin color doesn’t really matter in this case. Modern lasers can work with absolutely any skin and tattoo color. But there are some older tattoo types that can’t be removed by a laser. For example, if the pigment has high concentrations of titanium dioxide.

How to prepare yourself for the procedure

First of all, you must remember – laser tattoo removal is MORE painful than making a tattoo. Destruction of the tattoo pigment causes painful feelings. It is possible to use special painkillers – the doctor will also consult you about it. The laser does not leave any signs, but if you had some tattoo excisions -it will leave its mark anyway.

After your tattoo has been removed, you must take care of yourself sometime after. This is absolutely necessary unless you want to bump into some very nasty consequences. This may include:

  1. 24 hours after the procedure you must keep the place where the tattoo was absolutely dry.

  2. You’re not allowed to sunbathe or do any procedures like a sauna or hot and long bath or shower. Use warm, but NOT hot water. You will have to follow this cure for about 2 weeks. The doctor will tell you more.

  3. By no means, don’t scratch or pick it. If you do – it may cause skin infections and permanent scars to appear. You also don’t need to shave. Be careful with what you wear – your clothes may also “scratch” too hard.

  4. Use special creams to remove pain and discomfort. The doctor will instruct you on what creams to use. It is not absolutely necessary, but you will feel much better.

  5. Drink more water for 1 week after the procedure. It will help your body to dispose of pigment residue.

In general, you don’t have to think about it all right now. Just pay attention to what the doctor tells you – they know better! Also, every case is unique.

Just remember – listen to the doctor before, during, and after the procedure if you don’t want to meet unpleasant consequences. Use special creams to make healing faster and easier. Morally prepare yourself for the fact that laser tattoo removal is MORE painful than actually making a tattoo. We’ll make all we can to make it as smooth as possible for you.
